Butter chicken is like comfort food, no matter small kid or elder everyone enjoy. It is rich, creamy and little sweet.
Ingredients you need:
- 400g Boneless Chicken
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup tomato puree (fresh or ready pack)
- ½ cup fresh cream (malai also works)
- 1 tbsp kasuri methi (dry fenugreek)
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp curd
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- Salt as needed
Steps to make:
- Cut chicken into medium cubes. Marinate with curd, chili powder and salt for 1 hour.
- Shallow fry or grill chicken till half cooked. Don’t cook fully else it become hard.
- In pan heat butter, add tomato puree and cook till oil comes out (10–12 min).
- Add cream, kasuri methi and garam masala. Stir slow, it will look creamy orange.
- Add chicken pieces inside and cook 10 more min in low flame.
- Taste once, add little sugar if you want restaurant style sweet touch.
- Serve with naan or plain rice.
