Creamy Butter Chicken Recipe – North Indian Delight

Butter chicken is like comfort food, no matter small kid or elder everyone enjoy. It is rich, creamy and little sweet.

Ingredients you need:

  • 400g Boneless Chicken
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup tomato puree (fresh or ready pack)
  • ½ cup fresh cream (malai also works)
  • 1 tbsp kasuri methi (dry fenugreek)
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • Salt as needed

Steps to make:

  1. Cut chicken into medium cubes. Marinate with curd, chili powder and salt for 1 hour.
  2. Shallow fry or grill chicken till half cooked. Don’t cook fully else it become hard.
  3. In pan heat butter, add tomato puree and cook till oil comes out (10–12 min).
  4. Add cream, kasuri methi and garam masala. Stir slow, it will look creamy orange.
  5. Add chicken pieces inside and cook 10 more min in low flame.
  6. Taste once, add little sugar if you want restaurant style sweet touch.
  7. Serve with naan or plain rice.
